Angus founded SWR in May 2007, following 11 years as CEO of eFinancialNews Group, which was sold in two parts to Dow Jones and Dice Inc for £79m.

Prior to that, he built up and sold Edinburgh Financial Publishing.

Andy Butler

Andy Butler

CEO

Andy joined SWR in 2010 as Finance Director, to lead the Finance, HR and IT functions within the business. He was appointed as our CEO in September 2014.

Andy’s previous roles include working as the Operations / Finance Director of another SME and spending 17 years as a Corporate Finance Advisor for both Ernst & Young and BDO. During this time, he advised corporates and individuals on a variety of transactions on both the buy and sell side, including raising debt and equity funding on their behalf.

Stephen Cameron

Stephen Cameron

Sales Director

Stephen joined SWR in January 2009 and has performed a number of roles across the business in both sales and operations.

He was appointed to SWR's board of directors in September 2014. Previously, he had a 15 year career in education before setting up his own retail business in 2006.

Rupert Pennant Rea

Rupert Pennant Rea

Non-Executive Director

Rupert is chairman of Royal London and The Economist.

Earlier, he led the buy-out of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office and subsequent sale of its various businesses. He is a former editor of The Economist and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England.

Jonny has over 28 years' experience in asset management.

He was previously CEO of private equity at Standard Life, and latterly of private equity fund investing at Allianz, the German insurer.
Jonny is currently adviser to a number of private equity firms.

Ian Boyce

Ian Boyce

Non-Executive Director

Ian Boyce has 27 years of investment banking experience with SG Warburg Group and Schroder Group. Ian was a Director and, later, Chairman of a substantial family office based in Hong Kong for 15 years, acting as a representative on the boards of their three listed companies. He retired in May 2014 and now holds a number of non-executive/consultant positions in the UK.
