UK Customer Experience Awards: Team of the Year

Team of the Year

 

SWR was well represented at this year’s UK Customer Experience Awards which took place on Friday. As finalists in two categories 10 of the team from Alton went along to the event which recognises the very best initiatives and customer experience projects from a broad range of UK businesses.

 

SWR’s achievements were recognised for:

 

Customer Centric Culture, focussed on SWR’s ‘Best in Class’ project to deliver outstanding customer service

 

Team of the Year, the changes SWR has implemented since summer 2015 and how these will support our new and existing customers as the business continues to grow.

 

Entries included two parts; a written submission and the presentation on the day. These were judged by leading Customer Experience experts and scored against detailed criteria developed by the organisers in association with Cranfield Management School.

 

With finalists including many of the UK’s favourite brands and emerging top talent the standard of entries was extremely high. SWR’s competition included; New Look, O2, Royal London, Scottish Water and HSS Hire. Other finalists were Lloyds Bank, Ocado, Sainsburys, BT and Microsoft. Whilst, SWR didn’t win this year making the final shortlist in both categories entered was a result to be proud of (and we were the only waste company there!).

 

As well as supporting SWR’s presentations we were able to watch other finalists and learn a thing or two from their projects as well. The team also watched presentations from; Thames Water, Coventry City Council, Barclays and The Made Simple Group.

 

The awards lunch was attended by more than 800 people and over £7000 was also raised for Barnardos during the meal.
