Confidential Shredding

Overview of Service

The Data Protection Act states that any documents that can be used to identify an individual must be securely destroyed. Any companies or individuals that ignore their legal obligation to secure document destruction risk criminal prosecution, large fines and reputational damage.

To ensure our customers remain compliant with legislation, SWR are working with the UK’s leading specialists in fast, efficient and secure shredding of confidential documents. All of our suppliers are fully accredited confidential shredding companies with the highest standards of security to ensure your confidential information never falls into the wrong hands.

We offer both onsite and offsite shredding of confidential documents, hard drives and digital media, unwanted products and more. We’re also happy to carry out smaller ad-hoc collections, schedule regular collections or help with one-off clear outs of large quantities of confidential documents.

Customer Experience

The two most popular shredding services we provide are on-site and off-site shredding. On-site shredding is a fast and efficient process which uses mobile shredding machines capable of destroying over 2000kg an hour. It allows our customers to watch the disposal of their documents from within the comfort of their own premises and prevents employees wasting valuable time removing items from boxes or removing paperclips and staples – we handle it all!

Our off-site shredding service offers collection of your confidential documents and off-site destruction at a secure facility. Your confidential documents are collected and transported by a satellite tracked and unmarked collection vehicle to the secure shredding facility, where your data is instantly processed through shredders.

For both on-site an off-site shredding, secure bins or bags are supplied for regular collections or alternatively we offer a one-off collection of bagged, boxed or palletised material. A Waste Transfer Note is provided at the point of collection, and a Certificate of Destruction is provided once the material is destroyed in accordance with European Standard EN15713.

All of your shredded paper document are then baled and sent to UK mills for reprocessing, ensuring that your confidential documents are not only destroyed but also recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
